2020’s Werkudara Annual Meeting (WAM)

Lifting up the spirit of continuous transformation from the 8th years of Werkudara Group, our company is continuing the journey marked with The 2020’s Werkudara Annual Meeting (WAM). The meeting was set on Central Java, precisely in the Balkondes Wringin Putih, Borobudur which is a developed village under the public company.

As we’re arranging this event, we’re also up for developing Atibhagya, our business unit that’s specialised on wellness and health program. For the three days event, aligning with Atibhagya our team were working on groups to put some holistic wellness activities to be combined with a strategic company meeting and experienced by the team during our agenda on The 2020’s WAM.

We designed the whole agenda to uplift the mindful and wellness aspect event through a business and incentive purpose, starting from the venue set-ups, day to day activities with our partners, food and beverage, props and the event support with minding the Covid-19 safety protocols.

Starting with the venue set-ups, there is one main venue during the event which is on Wringin Putih’s hall—a bamboo-based building. There, we set a semi-outdoor meeting using simple multimedia production set-up, convenience and super comfortable beanbag seat, personalised table for each individual to prevent excessive contact to prevent any virus spread, and eco-friendly vibes decoration to add-up the meeting ambiance. The venue that is basically a semi-outdoor building allowed participants to consume fresh air from the outside and actually with a little bit of adjustment we could arranged the whole venue become more accessible for each function including for meeting, dining, sanitizing, entertainment and to held several activities.

After having the strategic meeting in the our wellness meeting set-ups, our team later were invited to experience some mindful activity starting with Kenduri as a form gratitude and paid a respect for the local wisdom, Gamelan Sound Healing Meditation and Wayang (Leather Puppet) Contemplation in the first night to deep dive into our soul reflection personally and as a team with traditional art media.

The activities continued with more mindful body fit activities in the second day, which began with village cycling trip crossing the local livings and heritage site of Wringin Putih all the way to Borobudur Temple. There, we started with a Javanese-style Yoga and Intuitive Dancing Meditation which we called Nartana, then followed with several activities including Daundala—leaf-doodling art, Taichi Quan exercise and Javanese-styled Yoga. Back from Borobudur, the team then continued the agenda by having workshop about healthy and sustainable beverage from herbs & spices brand by local entrepreneurs, then having a Ruwatan procession as a venture of self-cleansing. The day was later closed with a joyous dinner with a ‘membumi’—grounded to earth concept in the bamboo hall.

First thing we did in the third day of the program was having a traditional self-defence Pencak Silat in the village’s bamboo field to be more close with the nature. The third day, is not just about our body and nature, but also to the locals, where after the Pencak Silat’s course our team were having an interactive team building which involving the Wrigin Putih’s natural commodity and its villagers, called Jelajah Nusantara—local grounding cooking competition. The grouped teams were challenged to find clues about local commodity, find a way to buy or get it then cook it in the mysterious villager’s house, which by the end of the competition all teams are agreed that the most enjoyable experience was not to win the competition but to interact with locals, to learn more and become more grounded & humble as a human being in the society.

The activities we did back then, was truly remarkable and it was also being uplifted by the food and beverage also the event supports. During the three days of the event, we consumed healthy and a-non MSG local foods only, fresh beverage drinks from the traditional recipes and we even had an experiencing booth completed with herbs, recipes and tools to make ourselves feel better.

It feels really good to know that our take on preserving the mindful and wellness event for ourselves for this continuous transformation really affecting wellbeing, and it wouldn’t be happened without the team work and collaboration with our partners to develop the wellness and health solution in Yogyakarta. Oh, and of course things felt better with our signature services served for us during all the activities too!
